The Blacklist feature is an essential tool for managing communication effectively by allowing you to block specific contacts from sending or receiving messages and emails. The ability to remove unwanted or troublesome contacts can significantly enhance your messaging experience. By using the blacklist effectively, you can simplify your communication and ensure your messages go only to the right people.Blacklist helps you permanently block the number/Email for sending and receiving messages/emails from any of the connect channels, it’s not an opt-in or opt-out management
In customer service, some users may act disruptively or abusively. By using the blacklist, you can protect your team from negative interactions, creating a healthier work environment. If you're getting spam or irrelevant messages from certain contacts, adding them to the blacklist can quickly cut down distractions and help you focus on important conversations.
Getting Started
To access the blacklist page - More menus -> Settings -> Blacklist
On the blacklist page, you can view a complete list of all blacklisted contacts.
The displayed information includes:
Email ID/Phone Number: The specific email address or phone number that has been blocked from sending or receiving messages.
Channel: The communication platform or method (e.g., SMTP, WhatsApp Official, etc.) through which the contact was added to the blacklist. This contact is considered blacklisted only for the specified channel. If the same number is connected to any other channel, it will not be considered blacklisted for those platforms.
Action- Remove: An option that allows you to remove the contact from the blacklist, restoring their ability to send and receive messages.

You can add a contact to blacklist by clicking on the “Add Blacklist” button.
A pop-up will appear where you can enter the Email ID or Mobile number along with the country code, separated by a comma. For example, you can enter 9100223445,user@gmail.com. After entering the details, select the appropriate channels. Then click the “Add to Blacklist” button. The entered numbers and email addresses will be added to the blacklist.
In the Blacklist page click on the “Add Blacklist” button and add the entered contact to blacklist.
To remove a contact from the blacklist click on the Remove option in the Action column against the contact.

You can add/remove a contact from the blacklist manually from Teambox.
Click on the "Add to Blacklist" button and select the channel and number/email you want to add it to the blacklist.
To remove a contact from the blacklist click on the delete icon against it.
Click on the “Contacts” icon on Rightside Global Menu, and from the list of contacts appear, select the contact that you want to add to the blacklist and in the blacklist option click on the Add to Blacklist, which is similar to manually adding/removing from Teambox.
From the action step in connector,workflow,funnel and chatbot you can add/remove contacts to blacklist based on previous actions set automatically.
In the connector/workflow/funnel/chatbot,Click on Actions, to add contact to blacklist click on “Add to Blacklist” and to remove contact from blacklist click on “Remove from Blacklist”.

Select either Add to blacklist/Remove from blacklist and enable blacklist the contact checkbox to block the contact.
Similarly for removing the contact,click on Remove from Blacklist option and enable the remove the contact from the blacklist
In smart replies you can add numbers to the blacklist from the incoming chat.
In smart actions click on “Blacklist number”.

Enable the “Do you want to blacklist this number?” check box.
Can view and remove the blacklisted subscribers from Settings -> Blacklist
Please Note : The Blacklist feature is currently not available for agents; it is only accessible to admins.
