The Create Dashboard feature allows users to create a new dashboard, provide its details, configure preferences, and manage access permissions. A dashboard can be used to organize and display important business information, reports, charts, and key performance indicators (KPIs) in one place.

#### Dashboard Name

Enter a meaningful name for the dashboard in the Dashboard Name field. The name should clearly describe its purpose.

Example: Sales Performance Dashboard, Customer Analytics Dashboard, or Monthly Revenue Report.

#### Description

Enter a short description explaining the purpose of the dashboard and the information it will contain.

Example: This dashboard provides an overview of sales performance, monthly revenue, and customer trends.

#### Star This Dashboard

Select the star icon to mark the dashboard as a favorite. This helps users identify and quickly access frequently used dashboards.

#### Make This As Default

Enable this toggle to set the dashboard as the default dashboard. When enabled, the application may display this dashboard automatically when the user opens the dashboard section.

#### Share Dashboard

This section allows users to control who can access the dashboard. Three options are available:

Only me: Restricts dashboard access to the current user.

Everyone: Allows everyone covered by the application's access rules to view the dashboard.

Specific user: Allows access only to selected users.

Users should select the appropriate option based on their sharing requirements.

#### Save

After entering the required details and configuring the settings, click the Save button to save the dashboard configuration. Once saved, the dashboard can be accessed according to the selected permissions.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.pickyassist.com/setting-up-guide/crm-analytics/creating-dashboard.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
