Add a single product or Creating a record

Adding a single product allows you to manually create and list individual items in your catalog with all relevant details such as name, description, price, and images. This ensures accurate product management and helps users easily view complete product information.

At least one product image is required to add a product. Please keep a real photo of your product ready before proceeding.

Step 1: Open Dashboard

First, head over to your Picky Assist Dashboard.

Step 2: Go to Products

On the left-hand side, scroll down and click All Menus. From the list, go to Commerce → Products.

Step 3: Add Product

Now, you will see the Products section. Click on the Add Product button at the top right.

Step 4: Enter Product Title(Name) & Description

Enter the Product Name.

Add a short Description (within the character limit).

Step 5: Choose Image

Click on Choose Image in the product details window. You will be redirected to the Upload page. Here, click the Upload button on the left side.

Step 6: Insert Image

Once uploaded, click on Insert to add the image to your product. (You can add up to 10 images (maximum 5 MB)).

Step 7: Confirm Upload

Now you will see your image displayed in the product window, confirming that the upload was successful.

Step 8: Add Price & Condition

Select the Currency. Enter the Price. Choose the Condition: New, Used, or Refurbished.

Step 9: Select or Create Brand

Now, let’s move to the Brand. If your brand is listed, select it. If not, click Create Brand to add a new one.

Step 10: Create Brand Details

A new window will open: Enter Brand Name (required). (Optional) Upload a Brand Logo (Optional) Add a Brand Description and Brand Link. Assign an Owner if needed. Click Save & Close to finish.

Step 11: Category, Catalog & Product ID

Select the right Category (Food, Cosmetics, Electronics, etc.). Choose the WhatsApp Catalog name. Select a Collection to organize products.(if you already have one;optional) Add a Group ID if the products have variants Enter a Product Link.(Optional) or let it auto-generate.

Step 12: Manage Stock Availability

Enable stock tracking if you have limited stock and enter the available quantity. Disable if the product has unlimited availability. If the product is currently unavailable, disable the Availability option to hide it from the catalog.

Step 13: Add Tax Info

Add tax details if required. Select whether the MRP includes or excludes tax. 1.Includes Tax (Tax Inclusive): If you enter MRP as ₹100 and set 18% GST, then the ₹100 already includes tax. The customer will pay ₹100 total. 2.Excludes Tax (Tax Exclusive): If you enter MRP as ₹100 and set 18% GST, then tax will be added separately. The customer will pay ₹118 total (₹100 + ₹18 GST).

Step 14: Add Sale Price (Optional)

Enter a Sale Price if you’re running a discount. You can also set a start and end date for the offer.

Step 15: Add Internal Notes (Optional)

Add any internal notes related to the product. (These notes will not be visible to customers.)

Once you’re done, you have two options: Save and Close – to finish adding this product. Save and Add More – to directly continue adding another product without closing the window.

Step 16: Confirmation

You’ll see a message: “New Record Added”. Your first product is now listed under All Products in your catalog.

All products must be approved by Meta before going live in your WhatsApp Catalog. Approval usually takes 15 minutes to 24 hours.
