How to Request New WhatsApp Templates
To send catalogs or product lists through WhatsApp, especially outside the 24-hour window; you must use pre-approved message templates. This ensures smooth delivery, better trust, and reliable customer reach. With Picky Assist, creating and requesting catalog or multi-product templates is simple. This guide walks you through the process step-by-step.
Step 1: Open Your Picky Assist Dashboard
Log in to your Picky Assist account to access the main dashboard.

Step 2: Go to Channels
Navigate to All Menus → Settings → Channels.

Step 3: Select WhatsApp Business API
Click on WhatsApp Business API.

Step 4: Open Templates Section
From the left-side menu, click Templates → Add Template.

Step 5: Fill Template Details
Enter the template name (lowercase, no spaces), select Marketing as the category, choose the language, and click Add Language.

Step 6: Choose Template Type
Select Template Type → Catalog.

How to Request a New Catalog Message Template
Step 1: Choose Format
Select Catalog Format → Catalog Message.

Step 2: Add Content & Submit
Fill the body and footer sections as needed. A preview will appear on the right. Submit for approval.

Step 3: Sync with WhatsApp
The template appears under pending review. Click Sync with WhatsApp Account.

Step 4: Template Approval
Once approved, the status will update and you can start using it.

In some cases, WhatsApp may reject your template if the content doesn’t follow their policies—such as using promotional wording, grammar mistakes, incorrect category selection, or improper formatting. If this happens, simply review the reason shown, make the necessary corrections, and resubmit the template for approval.
How to Request a New Multi-Product WhatsApp Template
Step 1: Create New Template
Repeat the initial steps: name, category, language, and select Template Type → Catalog.

Step 2: Choose Format
Select Catalog Format → Multi-Product Message. Add headings, body, and footer content and submit for approval.

Step 3: Sync & Approve
Once your WhatsApp template is created, it will automatically go under review. Just like before, click on “Sync with WhatsApp Account.”
After a short time, you’ll see a notification saying “Template Synced Successfully."
If WhatsApp approves your template, it will appear in your template list with an Approved status.
Your catalog or multi-product template is now ready to use.
