Connecting Instagram

Current Instagram Channel is in Beta please access through https://pickyassist.com/beta

Pre-Requisite

1. Your Instagram page must be a business page

2. If you have a Creator account then the maximum followers should be below than 500k

3. You must have connected your Instagram page with your Facebook Page to do this integration

Features Not Supported by Instagram

1. Sending Video, Audio, Document, Location etc

2. Sending message after 24 hours from the user last message time.

Features not Supported by Picky Assist

Currently in beta and first released on March 10, 2021 and available to all picky assist customers without any extra charges. You can connect Instagram Business Page as a new Channel with Picky Assist to Automate Messaging and make use of picky assist core features like Smart Replies, Teambox etc.

Broadcaster & Sequence Automation will not work with Instagram due to 24 Hours Window restriction from Messenger, however we will integrate very soon with Broadcaster & Sequence to communication within 24 hours window.

Our Instagram messenger integration is in its first phase so we dont support following features of Instagram messenger

1. Sending Quick Reply with Buttons

2. Loading 3rd party URL (Webview) inside the Messenger

3. Integration to Broadcaster, Sequence Automation

Connecting Instagram Business Page

Before you start this step please ensure that you have linked your Instagram Business with your Facebook Account and you are logged in the browser with the same facebook account.

Go to Settings -> Channels and Click on Instagram Icon as shown below;

A popup will open where you need to agree to the Terms of Services, Privacy Policy etc as required by the Instagram and click on the button "Sign into Facebook" as shown below;

You need to give all the permission it prompt and once done you will able to see a page like as below, if you have more than 1 Instagram business page linked to your facebook account then you need to select the same from the drop down as shown below;

We have now Successfully Connected Instagram Page with Picky Assist, you can start using with Teambox or Smart Replies as per your business requirements
