Hyper-local Delivery

Overview

Use hyper-local delivery for nearby deliveries within a defined local area.

This is often used for in-house delivery within a short radius or selected nearby pincodes.

1

Step 1: Enable hyper-local delivery

Turn on Enable Hyper-local Delivery.

2

Step 2: Add a delivery area

Click + Add to create a serviceable area.

Then select the location type.

You can use:

  • Radius-based — define delivery coverage in kilometers

  • Pin-code based — define serviceable nearby pincodes

You can also view the shop location on the map while setting the radius.

3

Step 3: Choose how delivery will be handled

Select the delivery provider for this area.

You can:

  • add or edit delivery providers

  • enable or disable COD for each provider

  • let the customer choose between available providers

  • use In-shop delivery for your own delivery team

Use In-shop delivery when your team handles nearby deliveries directly.

This works well for close-by areas while longer routes can use a logistics partner.

4

Step 4: Set the delivery charge

Choose how delivery charges should be calculated for this area.

You can use:

  • Free delivery

  • Flat rate

  • Take from delivery partner

For example, you can apply a flat rate such as ₹50 for every order.

If you use Take from delivery partner, the charge is based on the amount returned by the provider.

This can vary by distance, weight, or location.

When needed, enable Round off delivery amount.

Examples:

  • ₹97 → ₹100

  • ₹243 → ₹250 when rounding to the nearest ₹10

For Flat rate and Take from delivery partner, you can also set a free-delivery threshold.

5

Step 5: Configure COD rules

Use this step to control Cash on Delivery for the area.

You can:

  • enable or disable COD

  • block COD above a certain order value

  • collect a partial advance for COD orders

For example:

  • orders below ₹5,000 can use COD

  • orders above ₹5,000 must be prepaid

For partial payment, you can collect:

  • a percentage of the order total

  • a flat amount

  • only the delivery charge

6

Step 6: Set the minimum order value

Define the minimum cart value required for delivery eligibility.

For example, if the minimum order value is ₹300, delivery is shown only when the cart total reaches ₹300 or more.

7

Step 7: Save the delivery area

Save the area after finishing the configuration.

You can create more than one hyper-local area for the same shop.

This helps you manage different nearby zones with different delivery behavior.
